Review by hotel critic
Upon arriving at A-Austerlitz, I found the historical charm intertwined with modern comforts to be a delightful touch. The thematic rooms named after Napoleon's generals added a unique flavor to the experience, showcasing a link to the nearby Battle of Austerlitz. The staff, particularly Voita, were accommodating and assisted promptly with any requests, making the stay pleasant. However, the age of the facilities was noticeable, and the price seemed a bit steep for the amenities provided. The rooms were adequately sized, with the option of a fridge, but the lack of modern updates was evident. The cold temperature in the room was a downside, requiring extra layers to stay comfortable. On the positive side, the location, only a short walk from the Brno fair center, was convenient for business travelers. The panoramic views of Brno from the restaurant on the 5th floor were a highlight, offering a picturesque backdrop during meals. In conclusion, while A-Austerlitz has its merits, the balance between cost and luxury may lean more towards value for those seeking a budget-friendly stay with historical flair.
